Account Data
We retain your account data (email, name, publications, preferences) for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we delete all associated data within 30 days.
Scans and Briefs
We keep historical scans and briefs so you can review past results. You can request deletion of individual scans or all historical data at any time via your Settings or by emailing boris@loudcamel.com
Contact Information
Contact information for scholars we surface comes from publicly available sources (Google Scholar, institutional websites, etc.). We don't retain this data longer than necessary to prepare your brief. Scholars are not informed that they were surfaced by us.
Logs and Analytics
We keep application logs for debugging and security purposes. Logs are automatically deleted after 90 days. We don't use cookies for behavioral tracking.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Automatic deletion is in place for all data categories. Here's how it works:
- Account data (email, name, preferences): Kept while your account is active. Automatically deleted within 30 days of account termination.
- Contact data (scholars you've been matched with): Kept while your account is active. Automatically deleted when you mark a contact as deleted.
- Draft history: Automatically deleted after 1 year.
- Scan records: Automatically deleted after 1 year.
Legal Requests
If we receive a legal request for your data, we will attempt to notify you unless prohibited by law. We will challenge overly broad requests when reasonable.
Your Right to Delete
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. We will comply within 30 days.
